As part of the Government’s Climate Action Plan, every Local Authority is being given funding for Community Climate Action projects. Grant applications can be for three different project scales ranging from,

  • Small scale up to €20,000
  • Medium Scale up to € 21 to 50,000 and
  • Large Scale projects € 51 to 100,000

All applications must include ideas for each of the 5 key themes 1/Community Energy  2/Travel 3/Food and Waste 4/Shopping and Recycling 5/Local Climate and Environmental Action. Applicants are encouraged to partner with other community groups where all 5 areas cannot be included.

In 2021, St. Finians was selected as one of the first pilot clubs in the GAA Green Clubs Programme  (https://www.gaa.ie/my-gaa/community-and-health/green-clubs-sustainability ) To build on the Green Clubs programme,  St Finians is preparing an application for this Climate Action funding to Fingal County Council. The closing date for applications to is February 28th
