Congratulations to our adult Camogie team who topped their group following a big win against Erin's Isle this morning. In front of a good crowd. Both teams traded punches in a well contested first half. Erin's Isle took the lead from a 45 after a lively first few minutes. That was quickly erased as Finians hit 4 points on the trot before Erin's Isle brought the gap back to 2 with 10 minutes played. Both teams were committed and despite some fairly agricultural challenges from both sides, referee Anton Keating let the game flow. Such was the competition, the teams swapped wides before Finians opened the gap again with 3 unanswered points. Not to be undone, Erin's Isle crafted a great goal to pull the gap back to 2 points. Finians saw slightly the better of the exchanges to the end of the half, rounding the corner 0-9 to 1-3 ahead. But with a strong wind behind Isle's in the second half the game, it was all to play for.

The second half proved to be a different story. Finians really grabbed control, keeping Isle's scoreless while notching 2-9 themselves. In the end the score was 2-18 to 1-3 and a lot of smiles all round.

We now have a home semi-final versus Cuala on 6th October.
