It was a winning night for St. Finians last night at the inaugural Fingal County Council Sports Club of the Year Awards
2025 in the Carlton Hotel, Blanchardstown. Over 80 awards were presented to volunteers to
recognise their contributions in sports clubs across Fingal. Three larger awards were also presented
in the categories of;

in the categories of;
- Community Club of the Year (Winner - Corduff FC)
- Sports Inclusion Club of the Year (Winner - Balbriggan Rugby Club)
- Green Club of the year
In the Green Club of the year category, St Finians nabbed 1 st place over neighbours Fingallians and
Balrothery Tennis club.
Olympian David Gillick was the compere for the night and commended Finians for their community approach with River Valley Community centre, Swords Tidy towns and other partners and our initiatives on renewable Energy, Recycling and active travel for members. Vice Club Chair Jim Conway, Senior Camogie and Green club member Lorna Cronin and Green Club Officer and U-13 boys mentor Dave Dodd were delighted to receive the award from Fingal County Council including a sports equipment voucher for the club.
Well done to all clubs on their awards and thanks to Fingal County Council Sports Office for a very positive event. We look forward to next years awards where we hope St. Finians can be successful in other categories and continue to positively impact our members and the wider community.
