St. Finian's GAA Club is going places and we are proud to be part of the Swords Community. Over the past 5 years we have grown our membership, increased the number of teams we field and we are the owners of our own land at Cook's Road where new pitches and facilities will be developed. We now train and play on a new state of the art all weather pitch provided for the community by Fingal County Council. Coaching and games development have been at the forefront of the club’s focus and new management and finance structures are in place. We manage a substantial annual budget that now includes the future development at Cooks Road. None of these things happened by accident.
For the past 5 years, St. Finian's GAA has been implementing a Club Plan. This was produced in June 2019 to cover the 3 years to 2022. COVID extended this period to this year. The plan sets out the club’s Mission, Vision and Values. These were to be achieved through 5 key areas.
Coaching and Games Development
Club Structures and Administration
Facilities and Development
Finance and Fundraising
Communications/PR and Culture
Within these 5 activity areas actions with timelines and areas of responsibility were identified. In total 36 such actions were set out. The Club Executive intends to develop a new 5-year Club Plan. This plan will be the agreed guidance for all Club Executives for the coming years so it is one of the most important and best opportunities for you to let us know what you think we should be concentrating on for that time.
As we took back at the 2019-2022 plan and see what happened in the club because of it, we
must also reflect on what didn't happen and ask are there reasons or lessons to be learned. This will inform the new plan and make it better.
A link to the current Club Plan is https://www.stfinians.com/info/club-plan. The Plan is straightforward with clear ambitions so when you have read it let us know what you think through this survey linkhttps://www.surveymonkey.com/r/PS5DLHP OR in the QR code below. Please take 10 Minutes to give us your feedback and help make St. Finian's a stronger, bigger club that continues to grow and be a vital part of our community. We will then start the process of developing the new plan. lt is intended to hold some feedback and development sessions during that time. The intention is to have a new plan by the end of the Summer so we could ask for responses by March 31st.
Remember, this is about informing the future so please take some time to help, 10 minutes is
