U16 Girls B Team
The U16 Girls Football B team were back in action today, at a sun soaked Rivervalley. After a false start in their first league match two weeks ago, the girls were keen to get their campaign off and running.💪💪
Lucan Sarsfields were the opposition and they made the trip across the M50 eager to spoil the party. The game got underway with both teams hotly contesting the middle third. Lucan settled first and scored the first point. However, the Finians girls were up for this one and responded with a number of well taken scores. They slowly built a lead that they didn't relinquish until the half.
Some small adjustments were made at halftime and the girls started the second half at a relentless pace. There was a ruthlessness to the play that hadn't been there in the first half and a number of green flags were raised. The girls kept up the pace until the final whistle to secure a much deserved win. 👏👏
