St Finian’s GAA Club has become aware of unfortunate misinformation circulating on social media regarding a planning application by 2 Birds beside the Community Centre.
For clarity, St Finian’s GAA Club did not object to this planning application. Any suggestion otherwise is a clear misrepresentation of the facts.
As one of the two joint owners of the entire parcel of land surrounding our clubhouse and the Community Centre, it came to our attention that inacuracies regarding the landowners consent and the drawings of the land folio were used in the application. Multiple attempts were made to have these innacuracies rectified before planning was submitted without success.  This was a matter that could not be ignored, and to do so would have been irresponsible from a legal perspective.

As a result, and because the company jointly established to manage the land did not notify the council, we believed we were obliged to bring this issue to its attention.

To be absolutely clear, no objection to the application was lodged by St Finian’s GAA Club. Any claim to the contrary is misleading at best and/or malicious
