Our U14 and U15 boys hurling teams kicked off the season with two hard-fought games on bank holiday Monday in the sunshine.

U14 lads played Parnell's combined U14 & U15 team in a tough game on the astro pitch in Parnell's - lads led coming into half time but the Parnell's team had a strong second half and finished up winning by a couple of goals.

Great display by all of the lads.

U15 played out a brilliant draw in Ridgewood on Monday afternoon against a very strong Whitehall Colmcilles team. The lead switched sides constantly during the game, with the Finian's lads hitting a great goal with the last puck of the game to seal the draw. There were a couple of injuries late in the second half with one of the Finian's lads fracturing his collar bone and a Whitehall player landing heavily on his head - an ambulance was called as a precaution but reports from Whitehall showed all-clear after a trip to Temple St.

All the lads deserve great credit for 2 very hard-fought games in their first hurling games since September 2020.
