Great start to the League campaign for the Adult AFL 5 men's footballers away to Erins Isle in Finglas on Sunday morning.

With the team containing many new faces from last year's Minor team, Finian's got off to a really strong start after going 2 points down, a goal from Conor Halpin after 5 minutes settled the nerves for the team. A brilliant block down from Matty O'Toole making his debut in the corner back position rallied the lads at a crucialpart of the game. They continued to build momentum with scores Scott Brennan (5) Lee Kavanagh (1) Conor Halpin (1-2) brought them to the break leading 1-08 to 0-04.

After the break the team continued to manage the game really well. Another fine score from Conor Halpin gave them a bit of breathing space. A foul conceded in the penalty area led to a penalty for isle's which was superbly saved by Stephen McNally in goal.

The introduction of some fresh faces from the line including Ciaran McGrath, Brandon Caffrey, Cian McCabe Sean Halpin & Stephen Donnelly all made big impacts on the game. A fine goal from Brandon putting a bigger gap between the teams. Conor Halpin (3) Scott (1) finished a super scoring performance from the lads today.

Many stand performances today including Killian Ryan, David Butler, Conor Collier & David Hattie.
