St Finians adult hurling 1st team played their fourth league game of the season on Tuesday evening v Na Fianna in Collinstown Lane,  Cloghran. 

Conditions had drastically changed from the recent heatwave to heavy downpours of rain.

We got off to a good start with goals from Chris Quinn and Chris Brennan and maintained that lead until the final 10 minutes of the game when Na Fianna clawed back our lead to 1 point but we held on to win the game with hard work and brilliant defending by our goalkeeper and backline. 

Special mentions to Jason Merriman, Kevin Hammond and Dave Hatfield who put in excellent performance for all 60 minutes.

The game ended 2.10 to 0.15.

Our final league game is in 2 weeks before we begin our preparation for Championship in September.
