St Finians ladies Rounders team played an intermediate championship game against St Kierans of Limerick in Ridgewood on Saturday afternoon.

The rain was very heavy for at least half of the 2.5 hour match and the wind pick up for the other half but it was a battle of two we’ll matched new clubs to the game of rounders.

Lisa Cassidy excelled as pitcher in the game for Finians and some really good play from all.

The final score was 23-21 in favour of the visiting team. Finians were disappointed not to have gotten the win after coming right back into the game from being 15-6 down after the 3rd inning. Our first season was always about learning the game & having fun and we are certainly doing both.

Only one more ladies championship group game to play on 22nd August and plenty of social games lined up too in ladies & mixed.
