Our rounders squad played in a Junior All Ireland one day Feile today in Tymon Park.

The event had up to 10 matches happening at one time with junior players from both new and existing rounders clubs from all over the country. The Finians men’s team had a good first ever outing and played 4 competitive group games.

The ladies team had a brilliant day out, taking inspiration from our ladies footballers earlier this week and also bringing home some silverware for the club!

Brilliant playing from all of the 12 players who fielded today, everyone played a part in getting us our gold medals and junior ladies' title.

Special mention to Amy Higgins on her debut, am sure it was a very special start to your rounders playing days to be togging out alongside mam Jean and winning the tournament.

Our final game was our tightest test of the day. We were leading by only 2 as we switched for them to bat in the final innings. We kept the heads and managed to get 3 batters out swiftly while only conceding 1 run to win 10-9.

Ladies Semi Final: Finians 30-Carrigmacross 22.

Ladies Final: Finians 10- Emo Rounders 9.
