Our Adult Ladies Football team got back to league duties v Whitehall Colmcille after the previous weeks' heroics in winning the Junior D Championship.

And it was Whitehall who started the brightest, moving the ball well and scoring the first 2 points of the game. It took Finians a few more minutes to get going and did so through an Emma Howe goal. That was followed up by scores from Megan Mc Keown and Saoirse Duffy. Whitehall countered with 2 further well taken scores. Another goal this time from Megan Mc Keown and a point from Shannon Britnell left it 2-5 v 0-4 at halftime.

Whitehall again started strong but resolute defending from Jo Crowley, Ava Kiernan, Rachel Dowdall kept Whitehall at bay which was the precursor to another Emma Howe goal. Whitehall hit back immediately with a goal of their own but scores from Rachel Church, Teagan Comber and another goal and point from Breda Orohoe and Emma Howe helped finish the game 5-9 v 1-7.

The Ladies now go to The Navan Rd and Oliver Plunketts in a top of the table clash on Wednesday.
