It was a busy and successful day of championship hurling for the adult hurling teams.

The 1st team opened proceedings against Whitehall Colmcille and the first half was a tight affair with both teams leaving scores behind them.
Finians led by 0-5 to 0-4 at halftime and were aware a stronger second-half performance was required and ultimately that performance was delivered in the 2nd half.
It took good goalkeeping from Kevin Hammond to ensure Finians maintained a clean sheet. However, with Lee Kavanagh and Fintan Merriman full of endeavour and good hurling at midfield, Finians gained control of the 2nd half.
A great goal finish from James Shelly following good build up play from Chris Brennan and Conor Halpin put Finians into a 3 point lead. Whitehall responded well & narrowed the gap to 1 point but Finians with Eoin O Connor influential, pushed on in the closing stages with good points to record a deserved 5 point victory.
