Finians ladies kept up their pursuit for a league title with a comfortable 0-3 v 1-19 victory against Ranelagh Gaels in Bushy Park on Wednesday.

The game started well for Finians with all of the forwards registering scores early on but it was a tough and resolute back 6 and midfield who refused to let Ranelagh through to score and were constantly the start of many attacks.

The second half continued in much the same vein with Scores from Maya Dunne, Anna Gorman, Ellie Kane in the full-forward line keeping the scoreboard ticking over but again some very solid defending broke Ranelagh spirits with Ava Kiernan, Jo Crowley, Laurie Baxter and Sarah Duignan contributing to an impressive defensive display that backboned an excellent performance.

Next up this Wednesday is a top of the table clash against Portobello.
