St Finians vs St Vincent’s

St Finians U14s football team travelled to Marino today to play St Vincent’s in the final match of the division 4 championship.

After a home win vs Erin go Bragh and a narrow defeat vs Cuala away, a win today could secure a championship semi final.

First half was nip and tuck and scores were shared evenly. The away team took a little while to get used to the Astro pitch while the home side were well used to it. After the first water break, St Finians took control and score 3 goals and went into the halftime with a good lead.

The wind picked up and was against the away team in the second half but it didn’t stop them playing great football and scoring lovely scores. A very physical encounter saw Finians push on and gain victory. With Erin go Bragh beating Cuala, a 2nd place has been secured and a championship semi final in 2 weeks time. Well done to the players involved.
