St Finians u14s camogie took on Castleknock in the division 3 shield semi final in Ridgewood yesterday.

After promotion from division 4 the players had 2 losses and 1 win in their Division 3 championship group and went into the shield semi final full of confidence.

Castleknock started the brighter and went ahead with an early point but the home side hit back with some lovely points and play.

At the break it with 6 points to 2 points to the home side.

Second half was again a tight affair and while the home side had a few wides the away team scored 1-1.

St Finians scored two points and the final score was St Finians 0-8 points Castleknock 1-3.

The Swords side moves onto a final in 2 weeks vs St Vincent’s.
