Our minor hurling team played their championship quarter final on Sunday morning in excellent conditions.

The visitors started stronger and led by 6 points at half time. The 3rd quarter was when we got into the game coming within 1 point at the 2nd half water break. Following a brilliant 4th quarter we led by 6 points going into injury time.

Heartbreak ensued 2 late goals by the visitors brought the game to extra time. The score line after 60 minutes was 4.8 to 3.11.

Extra time was exciting and dramatic and the final puck of the game, the visitors struck with what was to be the winning point.

As shown by the team throughout the season the boys kept fighting to the end.

It was an unfortunate way to end in what was a very enjoyable season.

They are a great bunch of players who done both clubs very proud.
