St Finians u14s camogie played their 4th final of 2021 on Sunday as they travelled to St Vincent's for the Division 3 Shield Final. After being unsuccessful in the previous 3 the Players and coaching staff were apprehensive but excited at the challenge that lay ahead.

St Vincents had won the toss for the Home draw and the match was moved to the all weather Astro pitch in Marino. A delay to the throw in time due to extra time in the U13s final before only added to the Nerves.

Both teams started brightly and scores were shared in the first quarter with the home side going into the water break with a few points in the lead. St Finians came roaring out in the next Quarter and took control of the game up to half time. This continued in the second half and a mixture of quality and aggressive defending and skill full score taking saw St Finians extend their lead and march on to become Shield winners.

A fantastic achievement for a superb bunch of players who have had an exceptional 2021 with 2 promotions, 4 finals and now Division 3 Shield Winners.
