Fingal Gaels 3.12 Beann Eadair 2.8
U16 Hurling Championship Semi final.

In a very windy Howth, our under 16 team played their championship semi final on Saturday.
The 1st half was a very tight affair with Howth playing with the assistance of a strong wind.
Magnificent defending and 2 excellent points from James Elder and a Nathan Foster long range free ending up in the goal kept the deficit down.
We were level at half time 1.4 to 0.7.
On the start of the 2nd half and leading from defence Conor Laird was solid in goals with excellent puck outs.
The 3rd quarter was very tight and with a wind advantage, we were on 1 point up at the 2nd half water break.
On the resumption of final quarter we found our stride and scored 2.6 without reply in a 10 minute spell.
As always Beann Eadair never gave up and struck with 2 very good goals as the clock ticked in to injury time.
Thankfully we held on to a great win and march on to the final in 2 weeks time.
All 20 players worked very hard for this victory with Sean Cronin and Senan Crosbie in defence, Nathan Foster and Cillian Duignan in midfield.
Matthew Deegan and James Elder in attack and Brendan Galvin played through knee pain to score an excellent goal.
Thanks also for the fantastic support.
