The Adult Mens 1st Team Hurlers welcomed Naomh Fionnbarra to Ridgewood on Tuesday evening for AHL encounter. The teams have always had closely run battles and this match proved to be no different. The spine of the defence with the experienced David Hattie and young Matt Murray were vital platform in a game that saw each side have dominant periods. A league debut from James Donnelly also a highlight on the evening.

With the first half going mostly the way of Finians a well taken goal from James Shelly after a move begun with a turnover in our own full back line left the side ahead by 6 at half time.

The Barrs came back hard at the start of the second half to claw the lead back to 3 points. Adam McGuirk and Fintan Merriman led the comeback from the centre of the field and an excellent assist from James Burke to feed Brian O Neill saw him rattle the top corner to reinstate the 6 point lead

The impact of the replacements for Finians proved the difference and got the side over the line to a well deserved victory 👏👏
